At AES we take our obligation to protect customers seriously. That is why we are now adding an additional layer of protection to ensure that your account is always safe.
What is the new security feature?
In order to make your online account as secure as possible, we are introducing a new security feature.
The new security feature is a personal Site Image and Caption that is customized to you. When you see your image and caption it gives you confidence that you are at our real website, and not an imitation site.
How does it work?
The new security feature adds a layer of protection to your online account by letting you know you’re at our real website, and letting us know it’s really you trying to access your account.
- You know you’re at our real website when you see your personal Site Image and Caption.
- We know it’s really you trying to access your account by identifying the computers you normally use to log into your account.
- If we don’t recognize your computer, we’ll ask you a question that only you should know the answer to in order to verify your identity.
Do I need to sign up for the new security feature?
We are implementing the new security feature for all of our students and borrowers. Expect to be prompted in early 2007 while logging into your account to choose your personal Site Image and Caption as well as several questions that only you know the answers to. Once this occurs you have added a layer of protection to your account!
