CASFAA Recognizes AES Representative with Meritorious Service Award

Harrisburg, PA (January 22, 2007) - Donna Huber, a National Sales Account Executive for American Education Services (AES), has been honored by the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA) with the 2006 Meritorious Service Award. The presentation was made at their annual conference held last month in Ontario, CA.

The Meritorious Service Award is a distinguished honor that recognizes Ms. Huber’s exceptional service and significant contributions to CASFAA and the students that they serve. CASFAA has a membership of more than 1,600 California student aid administrators representing more than 500 colleges and universities. Last year Ms. Huber received the CASFAA President’s Award, in recognition of her outstanding efforts in the financial aid industry.

Both awards have been presented to Ms. Huber for her role as the California Lenders for Education (CLFE) Liaison to the CASFAA Executive Council. CLFE is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation represented by lenders, secondary markets, servicers, and guaranty agencies. She has held the liaison position for the past four years and will remain so in 2007 with the new Executive Council. Ms. Huber is the current president of CLFE, having also held the position in 2003.

“Donna’s commitment to serving schools, and through them the needs of their students and families, is exemplary,” said Dick Willey, AES President and CEO. “She is dedicated to her profession and to our mission as a conscientious leader in the higher education community. These recognitions and awards could only be possible through our genuinely shared vision with CASFAA to always put the needs of students first.”

“I am honored and humbled to have received this award,” said Ms. Huber. “It is personally and professionally rewarding to be associated with a diverse coalition of industry participants and have the opportunity to serve the students and schools of California.”

Ms. Huber has been with AES since 1993, having spent almost 20 years in the banking industry prior. She serves the students, families and postsecondary schools of the western region of the country.

CASFAA is a professional organization established to encourage and assist the professional preparation, effectiveness, and recognition of student financial aid administrators in postsecondary educational institutions. The organization also assists secondary school counselors and administrators interested in the development of student financial aid programs and improves the quality of professional advice and information that is provided to students, families and guidance personnel relative to educational financial aid.

The CLFE association was formed in 1988 as a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation. It is represented by lenders, secondary markets, servicers, and guaranty agencies that are committed to serving the needs of California students, parents and schools, promoting responsible borrowing, default prevention and debt management while encouraging an open exchange of ideas and information and fair, honest competition in a regulated industry.
