To better protect sensitive/personal information and to comply with federal regulations, AES/PHEAA is encrypting email containing protected personal information (what the government calls “Nonpublic Personal Information” or NPPI). Encryption protects against unauthorized parties viewing personal data as well as preventing personal data from being made public.
In addition to protecting personal data from unauthorized parties, AES/PHEAA does not share personal data with marketing entities.
