Online Aid Processing
The eCourier School-Based Software (SBS) is a secure, Web-based, CommonLine-compliant student loan processing system which transmits using the eCourier File Management System (FMS). This flexible loan processing tool allows you to input and transmit loan data for guarantee; perform electronic change transactions; query the database using the Ad-hoc report tool; and control school processing options and system access on a user by user basis for professionals at your school.
Application Processing
Process Stafford, PLUS, and Alternative loans with numerous and diverse lender and guarantor trading partners with eCourier SBS. Inputting and transmitting data for guarantee and loan changes can be streamlined by creating templates, importing ISIR data, and utilizing other school setup options to reduce data entry.
Managing Templates - Allows you to enter school information in a template that will populate certain fields when creating a loan record. You can create multiple templates for Stafford, PLUS, and Alternative loans to populate any of the following fields: loan period, grade level, enrollment status, Anticipated Completion date, disbursement dates, lender code, and guarantor.
Transmission Options
You can import multiple ISIR files into eCourier SBS to reduce data entry and streamline the certification process. Transmitting or retransmitting an application or change record or file is easily controlled by you. Viewing files that have been received or transmitted provides a history of all files that were processed through eCourier SBS.
Response files and disbursement rosters files are automatically processed into eCourier SBS to provide schools with the most up to date information available without schools importing their files from their trading partners.
Reports
Customized reporting is provided through eCourier SBS to provide you with the most flexible reporting tool available. You control parameters and data provided on the report and determine the sort order and format of the report. Saving the custom report for use at a later date is also available.
School Administration
School users must have a user ID and password to access eCourier SBS, but the access levels are controlled by you. You can provide users at your schools with inquiry or update access to loan records.
You can also set up your school's preferred guarantor and lender trading partners and processing options. This allows you to control the business and trading partners for your school. You can also control your preferred processing options and flow to reduce data entry in the loan certification process.
Primary guarantor selections - This streamlined setup procedure easily accommodates multiple guarantors.
Total control of your lender list - You select the lenders who work best for your system.
eCourier FMS - Provides transmission functions to eCourier SBS or can be used with the school's current 'Financial Aid Management System' (FAMS) or 'School Based Software' (SBS). The eCourier FMS can be used to transmit CommonLine version 4 or version 5 files to all of the school's FFELP partners across the country. Schools can send a single CommonLine file containing loan records for multiple recipients that will then be split into multiple files per destination with new headers and trailers. The eCourier FMS also offers several powerful processing options:
- Schools using many different FFELP partners can receive multiple response and disbursement files each day.
- Like files types are "bundled" into a single file, so that users only have to download a single file type each day, thus saving time.
- The school can specify which file type(s) to bundle and what time to deliver each file type.
- Schools can specify exceptions for file routing procedures to assist in accommodating Alternative Loan processes.
The eCourier SBS provides you with a secure and flexible loan processing tool to process all of your loans and eCourier FMS will transmit your files to any FFELP partner in the country whether you choose to use eCourierSBS, your FAMS, or another SBS.
