If You Change Your Due Date:

  • It may take up to 2 billing cycles to reflect your due date change.

QuestionI am being billed for less than my normal payment amount. Can I change that? Answer

Yes. You may send a signed, written request asking to have the paid ahead status "permanently removed" from your account. You may also contact us via e-mail through Account Access.

QuestionWhy does my bill show that I owe nothing or only a partial payment? Answer

When you pay more than your monthly payment amount, the additional amount is applied toward future bills. Therefore, your bill may show that you owe nothing or only a partial payment.

QuestionCan I get one bill for all of my loans? Answer

We send one bill for all loans that have the same payment due date. If you have loans with different due dates, you may be able to change your due dates so they are all the same.

QuestionI am still in school. Why am I getting a bill? Answer

Please review the bill type on your billing statement.

  • Interest Bill — You may have requested to pay interest while you are in school.
  • Interest Notice — You did not request to pay interest while you are in school — this is simply a notice advising of the outstanding interest that exists on your account.
  • Installment — We may not have received information that you are currently attending a U.S. Department of Education-approved school at least half time.

    • Please note: If you have a Private Education (Alternative) Loan, refer to your loan documentation to determine what repayment option you selected.
